Scholarships

     Five graduating Benson High seniors received BHS Alumni Association Scholarships at the school’s May 15 Honors Night program at the Mary McNamara Auditorium.
     The $4,500 in scholarship grants increased the total of Alumni scholarships during the past 20 years to $93,500 and 99 recipients.
     The Alumni Association scholarship recipients from the Class of 2008:
     Roy Nelson Jr.: Richard Longsdorf Memorial Scholarship, $1,000. Plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
     Amanda Joy Castle: William Nimtz Scholarship, $1,000. Plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
     Te Arrea Ross: Richard Zerzan Memorial Scholarship, $500. Plans to attend Ellsworth (Iowa) Community College.
     Chelsey Klein: Richard Zerzan Memorial Scholarship, $1,000. Plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
     Adam Haverman: Shane and Gail Graeve Scholarship, $1,000. Plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
